Lisa is Nationally Certified as an Equine Canada Rider Level Evaluator. 

Children or adults, amateurs or up and coming professionals go thru the Rider Level program. This is a pre-requisite if you want to become an Instructor or Coach with Equine Canada, or you may just want to do them to learn the theory work to sharpen your horsemanship skills, or to receive Highschool credits. There are many benefits to receiving your certifications at whichever level you want to obtain.

Lisa offers prep courses so you feel prepared, mock tests and exam days (Written tests, Stable Management and Riding.)

Cost Fee’s for Rider Level Exams 1-4: 

• $35 per written test
• $50 per practical test (Included Stable Management, Flat phase, grid work/gymnastics and jumping phase depending on level)
• $21 Horse Council BC Office fee per level.

Cost Fee’s for Rider Level Exams 5-8:

• $40 per written test
• $60 Per practical test (Included Stable Management, Flat phase, grid work/gymnastics, lunging phase and jumping phase)
• $21 Horse Council BC Office fee per level.


It is an option to challenge multiple levels or get a group rate for your barn friends.

Prep Courses and Mock tests:

Preparation courses (Either written or riding) are available monthly by Lisa to help guide you to know what to expect at each Rider Test so you feel confident to challenge the exam.  Lisa will send you home with feedback on which areas need improvement to have you feeling ready to take on a test!
Inquire about availability and space in classes. This is optional.

Written Test Prep Prices:

**Lisa will meet with you and go over the Equine Theory that is expected at these levels and also areas of common weakness that she often sees. Plus, it's a good quiz that will have you feeling prepared! Often, students meet at her Stable Lounge in Langley. Contact for location details. Lisa does travel to other Stables or can do it over webinar.

Rider 1-4:  Written Test prep:

• $75 for all 1-4 (Or $40 per level if done individually).

Rider 5-8 : Written Test prep:

• $95 for all 5-8 ( Or $45 per level if done individually)

Mock (Practical)Test:

We meet at a location and we do a Mock Test with your horse and go over some key points that candidates often lose marks on. Lisa will write up an evaluation sheet specifically tailored to you and your horse and which level you are aiming for. Lisa will send you with homework on what to prepare until your test day to meet or exceed standard. We will cover what is expected for the flat test, grid/gymnastic portion and over fences portion. We also will then cover the Stable Management expectations and go over bandaging and other stable management requirements, including the lunging phases.
Lisa travels to Surrey, Langley and Aldergrove. Please contact her if you are in a different area.  You will need arena’s suitable for testing.  Lisa has one or two locations in Langley where you may “haul in” that has a flat arena and jump arena’s already set so please contact her for details.

Mock Test 1-4:
• $150 covering all 1-4 (This includes flat test, jump test, and stable management) (Or $55 per level if done individually)

Mock Test 5-8:
• $180 covering all 5-8 (This includes flat test, jump test, and stable management) (Or $75 per level if done individually).
